Hanging out in Moab!

I’m riding the trails here for another week and then home to Silicon Valley for the winter.  I don’t have much left to shoot for my next Moab Mountain Biking Trail Analysis videos for this area.

The upper Whole Enchilada is open but very cold and muddy when not frozen.  Not sure I want to ride it now.

Trying out my new Fox Factory Float 34 2017 fork.  So far it is amazing!!!  Blog post to come but so far it is far safer and more plush at low speeds than the Rockshox Pike or Revelation.  My Revelation will be on eBay next week!

Biking the Bartlett Wash Slick Rock Moab!

I added a short video of biking this amazing slick rock area north of Moab!  Much more beautiful slick rock than usual, and mostly very smooth.  It is like powder skiing 🙂  A real bonus is that the climb to the top is easy and scenic.  Perfect beginner / intermediate terrain with some scary stuff for advanced riders.

New Video: Mountain Biking Hurricane St. George!

Explore the top trails with me in Southwest Utah!  I’ll take you on a quick ride on 7 major trails including South Rim, Hidden Canyon, and North Rim on Gooseberry Mesa, JEM, Guacamole Mesa, Little Creek Mesa, Quail Lake / Boy Scout Trails, Prospector and Church Rocks, and Barrel Roll with a mention of the more technical nearby Zen Trail.   There is a lot to ride in the region that hosts the famous Red Bull Rampage free ride event.

Editing vids for the Zion – St. George Utah area

I’ll first do an overview of the main trails in the region and then trail analyses of the trails near Hurricane and Virgin such as Gooseberry Mesa, Guacamole Mesa, the JEM trail system, and Little Creek Mesa then move down to near St. George for Church Rocks and Barrel Roll.  I thought I had video clips for the Zen Trail but so far can’t locate them.  It is similar to Barrel Roll near Santa Clara but more advanced rock at the top.  Beautiful views and worth a ride.

I’ll also throw in the Overlook or Boy Scout trails and my wild ride in high winds and bush whacking there.

The only significant blood was ripping off a thumb nail while riding over a cattle guard on Cryptobiotic Trail.  That was a bloody mess for a while.  I won’t push off with my bare hand from a metal post again.

There are other trails in the area but these will paint the picture pretty well.

My Most Popular Trail Analysis Video – Porky near Moab!

The Porcupine Rim Trail and assorted trails above it are part of the famous Whole Enchilada trail system near Moab, Utah.  This video analyses the lower sections of the Whole Enchilada from Kokopelli Trail down UPS, LPS, and Porky to the Colorado River, and epic ride for intermediate and advanced riders.

One Of The Western U.S. Best Trails – Thunder Mountain In Utah

This video is a couple of years old and still very current.  I’m moving it from my old channel to Intermediate MTB as I reorganize my media.  The Thunder Mountain Trail in Utah is one of the best in the Western U.S. but is far from the popular regions and gets neglected by most riders.  The 15 mile loop is worth the effort to get there and ride it!
